Goldwave--make your wave gold!

Goldwave is a widly-used audio software.

It's really powerful.But to me, there are only some functions useful.

1.Clip a short piece of music from a long song to use it as a ringtone on my cellphone.
Open the song you want to clip. then play it ,and find which piece you like .Right-click at the beginning point ,and click"make a beginning tag",do this again to make a end tag.Once your favourit part of the song is between the two tag lines, click copy botton.
Then ,click new botton on the tool bar to creat a empty file.wav then click paste botton,save then new file. Upload it to your cellphone. That's great!

2.Noise reduction.
Some times, your want to deal with an audio file created by yourself.But your don't have professional microphone to make your voice clear,so there is much noise, what to do about it?don't worry ahout it.GW will help you.
Open your file,......the same as above......Once your voice which is not clear is between the two tag lines, click to open a window as below

if don't need more set,click OK,your voice will heared better!

3.Reduce vocals.
Need a music without the singer's voice? Do like this.
Open the Reduce vocals window follow the photo below

then you will see this window

there are four bar you can set, try them to Reduce vocals,but you can never remove the singer from his/her song at all, however, it's his/her song, doesn't it?
